Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment, which operates on the online, massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft, has released user numbers for the game, saying that it now has more than 11 million players worldwide, including subscribers, those with prepaid game cards, and those who have recently purchased the game. Blizzard has been expanding its World of Warcraft title internationally, recently making the game available in Russia and Latin America…. (more)

Los Angeles-based online women’s media firm SheKnows.com said Wednesday morning that it has acquired BabyHold.com, an online site focused on parenting and baby names. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SheKnows said that the acquisition is part of a strategy to provide advice through all stages of parenting. BabyHold provides parenting advice, and search tools for researching and finding baby names…. (more)
