Westlake Village-based online advertising firm ValueClick disclosed today in a regulatory filing with the SEC that it has divested its AdVault software suite, and sold its inkjet e-commerce business. According to the filing, the firm sold its AdVault software, which is used for production, finances, media planning and buying for advertising agencies, to MediaBank LLC. The firm also said it sold its inkject e-commerce business to an undisclosed buyer…. (more)

Laguna Niguel-based Symwave has raised $10.184M in an investment round, for the firm’s analog and mixed signal IC. Details of the funding have not been disclosed. Symwave has previously raised funding from Kodiak Venture Partners, CMEA Ventures, JAFCO Ventures, Revolution Ventures, and RPM Ventures. Symwave develops sensors, serial PHYs, and other products for the semiconductor industry. The firm was founded in 2001…. (more)

Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi provider Boingo Wireless has scored a deal which bundles the firm’s Wi-Fi networking services with Motorola’s new MOTO Q 11 smartphone, the firm announced Monday. Financial details of the bundling deal were not disclosed. Boingo Wireless said that the MOTO Q 11 will include the firm’s Boingo Mobile connection software and service, allowing consumers to connect to Boingo’s network of wireless hotspots…. (more)

El Segundo-based Mail.com, a web-based email and portal provider, has quietly scored $32.39M in a funding round, according to venture capital numbers released over the weekend by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association. Details of the funding were not disclosed. Mail.com is a property of Velocity Services, also based in El Segundo, which has previously raised funding form WI Harper.

Irvine-based Epicor reported Monday that it has expanded its board, and added James T. Richardson as a director. Richardson is currently chairman of FEI Corporation, and also served on the boards of Digimarc and Tripwire; Richardson has also served at WebTrends and Network General, among other firms. Epicor is a developer of enterprise business software. The new board appointment expands the company’s board to six people.
