Los Angeles-based Interneer, a company which develops software for developing enterprise applications, said Wednesday that it has raised $1.2M in a funding round from both new and exiting investors. Names of the new investors were not disclosed. According to Interneer, the funding round will be used to expand operations at the firm. Interneer develops a software platform which allows companies to develop business applications without the need for software programming. The firm has previously received funding from GroundWork Equity. GroundWork’s Michael Edell currently heads up Interneer as CEO, and headed the fundraising efforts for the firm.

San Diego-based Websense said Wednesday that it has rolled out a new email messaging security product which it calls Websense Hybrid Email Security. The new product combines both hosted email security alongside an on-site, message security software. According to Websense, the new email security product combines software for outbound email inspection, with a hosted inbound virus and spam filtering service. The new products are the result of Websense’s acquisition of SurfControl last October; the new offering is made up of Websense Email Security (formerly SurfControl E-Mail Filter) and Websense Hosted Email Security (formerly SurfControl MailControl). Pricing details of the new offering were not released.

Los Angeles-based Taltopia.com, which says it has created an free, online platform for connecting aspiring actors, musicians, models, comedians, and other talent with fans and industry professionals, said this morning that it has raised $800,000 in a Series A round of funding. The round came from an unnamed angel investor. According to the firm, the funding will go to broaden the site’s reach and further develop features on the site. The company is headed by Allen Vartazarian and Anthony Zonontian. Taltopia.com’s web site allows any aspiring artist to upload art, video, pictures, and more and have visitors to the site rate that content. According to Taltopia, the site if focused on helping anyone become “the world’s next web-celeb.”
